The Man Behind The Mask

Because he has been such an inspiration to me, I wanted to do a portrait of David Lynch. And let's face it, not only is his work iconic, the man himself is an icon: His disheveled hair, five o'clock shadow and the white shirt buttoned up to the collar make a look only he could pull off. And of course I had to paint him in a three quarter front view because that is the only way to depict the man

He is in the Black Lodge, holding that creepy mask from Fire Walk With Me. This is the second time I've used that mask, do you remember the first?
