Psychopomp

Many cultures have the notion of a psychopomp; a being who is meant to guide the recently deceased from this mortal realm to the afterlife. Birds are often called upon to fulfill this task, especially sparrows and whippoorwill. In this case, the sparrow is a psychopomp reporting to her boss

The boss is an interesting character who would usually just send minions out to do the work but I suppose she would collect important souls personally. My personal mythos isn't monotheistic but much more eastern influenced. That having been said, the god of psychopomps reminds me of the Morrigan (visually speaking) but that sorta makes sense anyway; she had so many aspects it shouldn't be too much of a reach to bolt this other responsibility onto her purview...
