While this piece was influenced by Beardsley's illustrations for Salome and has some Art Deco sensibilities, it is obviously following an entirely different philosophy in terms of design and execution. Yet for all the stylistic differences, it still manages to remain somewhat faithful to the source material without being derivative in any way

That having been said, she is hardly meant to be the daughter of Herod. Rather, the title is meant to be a nod to the inspiration of the piece. Also, it's a pretty wicked sounding name and that's good enough for me...
