I painted this bantam rooster in honor of Chinese New Year. In the zodiac in China, people born in the year of the rooster have attributes of constantness and confidence, as I think does this chicken. The art has a realist impressionist feel.
ßThe original painting is a 5"x7" acrylic painting on panel, it has some texture in the crest. It is also available as 5"x7" Open Edition giclee prints and as 2.5"x3.5" Limited Edition ACEO giclee prints. The ACEO edition is limited to 25.
